Samedi soir and time to attack the keyboard!
Genevieve is asleep and Nigel is still in Jersey.
He will be here next Samedi; corks to chase, smoked fish for supper; joie!
Christmas is comimg. I love Christmas! Lots to eat, long snoozies with the humans, cuddles.
Un bon temp pour tous.

Toad in the hole
Once again the humans have been talking about food.
This is a recipe that they like and they will make it over Christmas
http://www.deliciousmagazine.co.uk/recipes/brunch-style-toad-in-the-hole
The sausages are good but the roast batter, mushrooms, etc are only for human tastes.
What is wrong with smoked fish with cream or rare beef or tuna with a leaf of butter?
I will post their recipe with pictures.

Noel
Bonjour a tous,
Tonight I am going to address the very important question of cold paws.
In the summer I like to lie on the concrete of the balcony, the cool concrete makes a delicious contrast to the warmth of the sun, I do my catisthenics; stretching and rolling to exercise all my muscles.
Over the last few weeks it has been quite cold and wet but I have been lucky enough to have had a few days on my balcony and I like to relax on this small wood chair.
It is warm and I can enjoy the last of the autumn, early winter sun free from cold, damp concrete on the paws.
But Christmas is coming, soon there will be a new year and the sun will start to grow stronger. We are going to the mountains for the holiday, snow is lovely when you watch it through the window.
The humans will have to go out to get logs to feed the fire, I might go if there is no wind.
They will be having foie gras, capon, Christmas pudding, etc for Christmas dinner. I am going to have smoked salmon with a little cream.
In the afternoon there will be toast and coffee and in the evening, a slice of meat pie with pickles.
I might have some of the meat, finely sliced, I do not care for pastry or pickles..
More soon, bisous mes amis,
Bergamote

Simply moi!
Hi there and welcome to my blog.
This is my first post so I think it is best to tell you a little about myself.
I am a cat and I live in Quimper. I weigh about 7.5 kilos and Genevieve, my first human, says that I am fat, Nigel, my second human, says that I am a big strong cat. I prefer the latter explanation.
I have a wonderful soft silky coat, some people say that I am silver and white with a splash of honey. I have a tail with black bands, the most adorable pointy ears that you have ever seen, not at all like Spock, and long white whiskers and grey eyes.
Everyone says how simply adorable I look.
Most of the time I live in a very comfortable apartment but I do go on holiday with my humans quite often. This summer I was in the Dordogne for a fortnight and Langoat for a week and I had a great time playing in the gardens, catching flies, butterflies and crickets, exploring the houses, etc.
What am I going to talk about in this blog?
French politics. My humans talk about politics all the time so I know as much as they do, and as a cat I have an independent view.
Cooking! I love cooking, well eating actually, but it comes to the same thing and it avoids getting the paws sticky with flour, butter, etc or worse, wet with water!
Anything that comes into my head if I think it is interesting.
Time for some serious sleeping so see you later!
Bisous a tous! :-)
